Submission guidelines

Authors should prepare their submission according to Springer’s guidelines available at https://www.springer.com/gp/authors-editors/book-authors-editors/your-publication-journey/manuscript-preparation. All submissions should be made via EasyChair.

Authors are strongly encouraged to consider submitting work related to evaluation, comparison and benchmarking of existing and novel radar-based interactive systems (where possible, including the datasets). This will form the core of joint journal publication. For other topics see call for paper.

All submissions to the workshop should provide:

  • Detailed system description in terms of radar type, radar bandwidth and range (e.g. short-range, mid-range or long-range);
  • Gesture type (i.e. single vs. multiple gestures);
  • Sensor type (i.e. custom vs. commercially available);
  • Usage context (i.e. stationary vs. mobile), end users and human body parts involved in the interaction (e.g. fingers, wrist, hands, forearm, arm.
  • Main goals of the proposed systems (e.g. object classification, material identification and classification, rough interfaces, aphasia detection, ambient intelligence, multimedia, etc.)
  • Interaction types (e.g. tangible, grasping, mid-air, air-writing, etc.).
  • Environment characteristics (e.g. indoor or outdoor, and the setup, below a surface, under a work surface, through the wall).
  • Implemented algorithms and techniques.
  • Dataset availability
